AN ART CONSULTANCY SUPPORTING A COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS AND COLLECTORS
How We Work
Collecting well comes down to access.
The works that matter are rarely publicly offered. They are allocated, placed privately, or sold before they are ever listed. Knowing a work exists — and being known to the people who decide where it lands.
That access is what this practice is built on, and it comes from being genuinely inside this world rather than adjacent to it: through The Art Career, our cultural media company, we are in direct conversation with the most influential people in the creative canon.
What that opens.
Galleries, previews and private viewings. Studio visits. Work available quietly, ahead of consignment or entirely outside the auction calendar. Allocations at galleries where placement depends on relationships rather than money. Acquisitions made directly with artists and estates.
We begin with what you actually want.
Every engagement starts with a long conversation — what you respond to, what you already own, what you want the collection to become, and what you intend to spend. Some clients arrive with a clear brief; most arrive with an instinct. Both are workable, but the work is different.
Sourcing, acquisition and sale.
We monitor the market on your behalf, identify the right works, and handle the transaction end to end — valuation, negotiation, condition and provenance review, shipping and installation. When you are selling, we advise on house selection, timing, estimate strategy and terms.
You will understand what you own.
Throughout, we explain the reasoning: why an artist matters, where a work sits within their output, what the market has done and why. You should be able to defend every acquisition in your own words.
